A plot located at the edge of Lisbon’s new business district, Parque das Nações, itself next to the famous Cabeço das Rolas garden and settled in a context of an overbidding supply of office buildings, required the creation of a new narrative. A2M chose one that is based on the rhythm of solar radiation facades and natural sun blind protection generated by parametric design.
The goal is to create a vibration at an urban scale, starting from the urban plinth – which runs through the whole district – and proceeding into a green landscape offered to the community in the form of a dune that features greenery over an open-air gallery with shops and recreational spaces.
This project is the largest Passive House building in Portugal and is labeled WELL Platinum, BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore Gold.
